YA March Madness 2017

It's March Madness time but instead of NCAA basketball, our brackets are full of Young Adult Books! We will randomly place 32 YA books & manga titles published in 2016 (that you nominate) in our YA March Madness Brackets.
Each week, the field will be narrowed down to the final showdown on March 30th and a YA March Madness Champion will be crowned on April 4th! 
The voting will take place right here, so check back every week to vote for your favorite titles from 2016!

It’s March Madness time, but instead of NCAA basketball, the brackets are full of young adult books. Thirty-two YA and manga titles from 2016 have been selected and placed in the YA Book March Madness Brackets. On Feb. 28, teens can start casting their ballots for their favorite YA titles in the first round through the library’s website, www.naperville-lib.org.  Each week, the field will be narrowed down to the final showdown on March 27, and a YA March Madness champion will be crowned on April 4! Check the library website each week to cast a vote!

Learn how to setup pivot tables to organize information, insert charts and basic functions such as VLOOKUP. *Program requires advanced registration with a fee and is limited to 12 participants.

Read Aloud Book Club (95th)

Reading aloud is a long-standing social tradition. Historically, families often read together as a form of entertainment, and factory workers had books read to them as a way to relieve the tedium. Naperville Public Library is reaching out in that tradition with its Read Aloud Book Club for those who wish to enjoy and explore the written word in this historical format. The book club is open to all adult readers – those who are native speakers and those who are learning. The books will be read at a pace determined by the group, and limited copies will be available at the 95th Street Library’s adult services desk. *Program requires advanced registration.

Stitching in the Stacks: Project Linus (NIC)

Stitch with the library’s knit, crochet and needlecraft groups. This season’s Pay It Forward project is to create fleece-tied, crocheted, knit or quilted blankets for children. Blankets will be donated to Project Linus for seriously ill and traumatized children. Participants should bring their own supplies to create their blanket, and the library will have a supply of patterns available. All skill levels may attend.
